Step 5. Create the OptimiDoc printer on workstations
To start the print via OptimiDoc it is necessary to create printer on server or on each workstation which will print to the OptimiDoc server. Process bellow describes how to create it on Microsoft Windows.
1. Open the Devices and Printers from Start menu. |

2. Click on Add a printer. |

3. System opens the Add Printer window. Click on The printer that I want isn't listed. |

4. Select Add printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname and Click on Next button. |

5. Change the device type to TCP/IP device, enter the OptimiDoc hostname or IP address and uncheck the option to query the printer. Click on Next button. |

6. Select the custom device type and Click on Settings... button. |

7. Change the protocol to LPR, enter the queue name OptimiDoc and Click on Next button. If you want to print directly to the device enter to Queue name the Direct queue ID instead of OptimiDoc. You can specify a project by Code of project, name of a queue and a user login at the same time using the Queue Name field. For more information, go to Advanced Queue Name settings. |

8. Click on Next button. |

9. Select driver and Click on Next button. |

10. Enter the printer name and Click on Next button. |
|
11. Send test page to OptimiDoc by Click on Print a test page button or confirm the printer installation by Click on Finish button. |

12. Go to Job list and check if the job was received. If no please go to Diagnostic and check the section Unauthorized accesses. For detail visit the page Unauthorized accesses. |
