Configuration and installation SNMP v3 with Ricoh

Log in to the MFP's Web Interface with administrator rights.

Go to Configuration menu and choose SNMPv3 in Network section

Configure MFP's as follows:

  1. Enable SNMP option

  2. Set Authentication Algorithm

  3. Set Account Name (user)

  4. Set Authentication Password (user)

  5. Set Encryption Password (user)

Then OK to save settings

Configuring Y Soft SafeQ

Log in to the SafeQ Web administration with sufficient rights to manage devices.

Go to Devices > Printers selection and click the edit icon next to the device or double click on the device.

Go to Advanced tab.

  • Set Alert message encoding to utf-8

Go to SNMP tab. Setup SNMP as follows:

  • Choose SNMPv3

  • Set Username to value set in Account name (user) field in Ricoh MFP's Web Interface 

  • Set Context name to GWNCS

  • Set Authentication algorithm to value set in Authentication Algorithm option

  • Set Authentication password to value set in Authentication password (user) field

  • Set Privacy algorithm to DES

  • Set Privacy password to value set in Encryption password (user) field

Click on Save device button to apply changes.
