Configuring OKI for YSoft SafeQ Embedded Terminal with the At sign in username.

Situation

When any of SafeQ users username contains @ character, scan issue with YSoft scan application occurs.

  • The solution is set configuration option internalLdapReplaceAtChar in SafeQ (expert view) to value \# - all occurrences of @ will be replaced with #

Limitations

Even if internalLdapReplaceAtChar is set, there are limitations related to Username and Password authentication method. So in case user with username e.g. user@domain.com is logged on OKI Embedded Terminal using Username and Password, following limitations can occur:

Because of these limitations, authentication method Username and Password is not supported in combination with usernames containing @ character.
