Firewall settings for YSoft SafeQ

YSoft SafeQ CML Server opens ports 20222, 20223, 20224 and 20225 by default to allow communication with YSoft Payment system and YSoft SafeQ Mobile Print Server when these are installed on dedicated machines. However, connections from untrusted network to YSoft SafeQ CML Server need to be blocked on these ports for security reasons.

If YSoft Payment system nor YSoft SafeQ Mobile Print Server are not used or they are installed on the same machine as YSoft SafeQ CML Server, it is recommended to simply block the ports for inbound connections using a firewall. For Windows firewall, this can be done by adding a new rule using the following command:

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="YSoft_SafeQ_RMI_block" protocol=TCP dir=in localport=20222,20223,20224,20225 action=block
