Using YSoft SafeQ Embedded Terminal for HP
Log in at the printer
Log in with a PIN or a card
The device must be set up with an embedded or external card reader.
1 | Place your card on the card reader attached to the printer OR Tap PIN field and continue to next step.

2 | Enter your PIN and tap OK or

Log in with a username/password or a card
The device must be set up with an embedded or external card reader.
1 | Place your card on the card reader attached to the printer OR Tap the Username field and continue to the next step.

2 | Type in your username and password and tap OK or
|
Log out
You can use any of the following methods to log out:
Press the Sign Out button on home screen. 
Tap the log out button
in YSoft SafeQ application.
NOTE: If you do not log out, the printer automatically logs you out after a period of time set by your system administrator (typically 3 minutes).
Print all your print jobs in the queue
If you want the printer to automatically print all your unprinted jobs when you log in, follow these steps:
NOTE: This option may not be available at your location. For more information, contact your system administrator.
1 | Check Print all option.

2 | Login to the printer.
|
3 | YSoft SafeQ logs you in and the printer prints all your waiting prints. |
Register a new card
The first time you use a card, use one of the methods described below to register it.
NOTE:: The method you use may depend on the way your system administrator has configured SafeQ. The terminal should ask you for a Activation Code or for a Username and password. This depends on SafeQ system configuration.
Locate your Card Activation Code
1 | Your Card Activation Code may appear in an email from SafeQ after sending the first job to SafeQ or generated manually by administrator.

2 | If your Card Activation Code was generated, it may appear in SafeQ web interface when you log in. |
Register a new card by entering your Card Activation Code
If you have a Card Activation Code, you can use this simple method to register your card.
1 | Swipe your card on the card reader attached to the printer.

2 | Tap Card Activation Code button.
|
3 | Tap Activation Code text field.
|
4 | Insert your Card activation code and tap OK or
|
5 | When the assignment process will be successful, you will be logged to the printer.

Register a new card by entering your username and password
1 | Swipe your card on the card reader attached to the printer.

2 | Tap Username and password button.
|
3 | Tap Username button.
|
4 | Insert your Username and Password and confirm it with the OK or
|
5 | When the assignment process will be successful, you will be logged to the printer.

Select jobs to print
HP printer with job list: Waiting, printed, favorites folders
1 | Log in to the Embedded Terminal: Log in and log out at the HP printer. |
2 | On the Main Menu screen, touch YSoft SafeQ icon.
|
3 | Now Print job menu will be displayed.
|
4 | Once the jobs is printed, the appear in the Printed folder. These jobs can be reprinted in future.
|
5 | You can also perform the following actions in the print menu:
|
Incompatible jobs
1 | Send a few jobs to the SafeQ system. Log in to the Embedded Terminal: Log in and log out at the HP printer and navigate to job list: Select jobs to print at the HP printer. |
2 | If you have incompatible jobs, they will be marked with red cross. You cannot print incompatible jobs. As displayed on the picture below, the printer supports only BW prints, thus the color print jobs are incompatible and it is not possible to print them.

Display detailed information about a print job
1 | Log in to the Embedded Terminal: Log in and log out at the HP printer and navigate to joblist: Select jobs to print at the HP printer |
2 | Touch Info button next to the job to view jobs details.

3 | Job details and preview of the first page of print job are displayed. Touch OK button to exit.

Delete a print job
1 | Log in to the Embedded Terminal: Log in and log out at the HP printer and navigate to job list: Select jobs to print at the HP printer. |
2 | Tap the job(s) you want to delete and tap Delete icon
|
Select a billing code
In SafeQ Embedded Terminal, you can change billing codes in YSoft SafeQ application menu, then you can choose different billing codes for different copy and scan jobs in one session.
NOTE: Your system may be set up to for you to select a billing code for the copies and scans you make. Use either of the methods described below to select your billing code.
Select the billing code from a list
1 | In SafeQ application menu tap Billing codes from left menu. |
2 | Screen with billing codes is displayed.
Here you can:

4 | Select your desired billing code by tapping it and confirm your choice by tapping the tick button.

Default billing code
1 | The default billing code is preselected immediately after login (in this case: Orders). Tap the tick button to confirm or select a different billing code. Until you change it, all copies and scans will be accounted to your default billing code.

Search of billing code
1 | If you want to search billing codes, tap the input field.
|
2 | Type name or number or text of billing code and confirm by OK or
|
3 | If you want to search billing codes, tap the Search button.
|
4 | A result which matches your searching phase is displayed. Now you can:
Choose one of the billing codes from the results.
|
Continue with scan or copy
1a | Once billing code is selected you can continue to Scan menu to start scanning |
1b | Or you can press the home button to enter main menu screen and after that continue to Copy menu to start copying. |
Copy
If your system allows you to make copies, follow these instructions.
NOTE: If you have questions about whether or not you can make copies, contact your system administrator.
1 | Log in to the Embedded Terminal: Log in and log out at the HP printer

2 | On the Main Menu screen, touch Copy. You can press

3 | Select copy settings by touching available options. Then press
|
Scanning
If your system allows you to scan, follow the instructions in this chapter.
NOTE: If you have questions about whether or not you can scan, contact your system administrator.
Scan Workflows list
1 | Log in to the Embedded Terminal: Log in and log out at the HP printer. |
2 | On the Main Menu screen, Tap Scan.

3a | The Scan workflows screen displays.
Tap one of scan workflows and now you can:

4a | After Taping Scan setting button, screen with scan workflow settings is displayed.
Now you can:

Scan with different paper format and orientation

Select desired paper format/paper orientationtapping

Display antother pages of your job list.
Navigate to Waiting / Printed / Favorite folders.




Tap Check button to confirm selected billing code
Tap Back button to see list of parent billing codes (higher level).



Tap Scan button to perform scan with default workflow parameters and scan settings. Your scanning starts immediately.
Tap Scan settings button, if you want to change parameters like sender, recipient, scan file name, resolution, color, etc. (described in step 4a)
Display another pages of your scan workflows.
Tap Scan button to start scan.
Tap Cancel button to return to Scan workflow list.
Change value of scan settings.
Display another pages of your scan workflow parameters.
